Mimita Mita

Death Rites * Barding

looking for: spiritual counsel (preferably from a devotee of azeyma. her preference is azeyma >>> nald'thal >> the rest of the twelve).her main questions are "how can i do the most good in the world?" and "how can i truly repent and make amends for grievous past wrongs?"session length:
- if in-game (preferred): one session, probably 30min-2hrs.
- willing to RP over discord instead, but i have no idea how long that might last /shrug
vibes: low-key, mundane, somber but hopeful. clouds parting after a stormcore topics: religion, guilt, repentance.extra topics (likely to be mentioned, but not discussed in detail unless prompted): funeral rites (which brings death as a topic too). potentially [organ-legging] if part of it is confessing the grievous past wrongs (mimita might confess if prompted, but she does not particularly want to. i would be fine either way)

Timeline

Before 1556 6AE: Lived with her family in a dilapidated house within the Dunes of Ul'dah as a child. Her home was destroyed in one of Thanalan's rare-but-deadly thunderstorms.1556 6AE: Her father, a cheerful miner of the Nanawa Mines, was recruited into a cult known as The Pack. He convinced the rest of the family to join them.1557 6AE: Morrighan, the voidsent leader of the Pack, attempted to drain Mimita of all her aether. Mimita's mother intervened and saved her life, though her father was ordered to kill her mother for this - and he did.Shortly after, Mimita ran away and met An'hor (name subject to change), a child refugee from Ala Mhigo, and was cared for by a community of Ala Mhigan refugees for a time. This fell through when the well-intended adults tried to return Mimita to her father. An'hor helped her run away. The two survived on the streets of Ul'dah for a time, but quickly stumbled into a found family when they tried to steal from an odd couple - a man and his Sylphic partner.1558 6AE: They found Kikina, a Plainsfolk child, on the sands of the Sagolii in Lassae Village shortly before it was destroyed. They absorbed her into their found family.1560 - 1567 6AE: Traded with the beast tribes of Thanalan, primarily under the Ashcrown Consortium.1567 6AE: She and her group abruptly disappeared from the public eye in Thanalan. Those close to them may have heard rumors as to why - she and her group were digging into the shady doings of an Ul'dahn noble, which is a dangerous thing to do.1567 6AE: Someone tried to kill her. She convinced her would-be assassin that she'd be more useful alive than dead and joined the (now defunct) group of assassins under duress. They sent her on the riskiest jobs.1568 6AE: The organization of assassins she was working for collapsed shortly after its leader was killed. A larger criminal syndicate - the Gilded Swords, a subsidiary of the Blackstring Undertaking was sent to kill its remaining members. Once again, Mimita convinced her would-be assailant that she'd be more useful alive.1569 6AE - present: She continued her work for the larger criminal organization, taking the tasks no one else wanted, which typically consisted of the messy, morbid work of cleaning crime scenes and disposing of bodies. This work took her across Eorzea, depending on where her masters sent her.1572 6AE: Swaenhylt, a devotee of Azeyma preached about confessing your sins to Azeyma and finding salvation before the moon fell. Distraught at the end of the world and overcome by guilt, Mimita confessed. She's had a newfound appreciation for the Twelve ever since.0 7UE: She found a modicum of freedom following the Calamity (as the world was too recovering for Blackstring to give much work) and made her way back to the Ashcrown Consortium. She left out most of the details about what had happened and joined their ranks again as a part-time employee.0 7UE: With the overwhelming amount of dead bodies in the wake of the Calamity, she found work performing funereal rites for the dead. She helped the Church of Saint Adama Landama perform death rites for a time, but was later dismissed as she was not a thaumaturge of the Order.1 7UE: Blackstring resumed its usual operations, and Mimita was called to work for them again.

((ARR-onward is fairly loose!))ARR (2013): Shortly after Ifrit was summoned and dispatched by the Warrior of Light, Ki (Pakeke) made her way back to Thanalan, her family, and the Ashcrown Consortium. Mimita was delighted to see her again, and has been extremely protective since.Post-ENW (Jan. 2023): Ruckus discovered that she's worked for the Blackstring Undertaking and told her sister.

RP Hooks

A Love of Bardin'

Whether it's music, poetry, or community stories told around the fire, Mimita has a fondness for bards. You can often find her as a captive audience for the nearest bard. While shy, mayhap she has some songs or stories too - if you ask her directly.

Performer of Funeral Rites

Have you lost a loved one? Do you need help with the funeral? Maybe you're simply curious about what it is that happens to the bodies of the deceased after they die - regardless, Mimita can help. She performs funeral rites pro-bono, with families paying whatever they're able to/feel is right. While she doesn't generally bring up her work or go into much detail, she's open to talk about it.

Grief Counselor

Grief is difficult, and it can be long-lasting. If you need assistance working through the many feelings that come after the death of someone you knew, Mimita can help.

Ashcrown Consortium ( Crystal & Tribal Trade )

Mimita has been involved with the Ashcrown Consortium within Thanalan off and on for many years, starting around 1559 6AE (13 years before the Calamity). If you need crystals or tribal goods, she may be able to help.

Pre-existing Connections

You might already know Mimita if you... (Highlight text to see details. If you're interested in setting up a prior connection or just want to know more, feel free to ask!)** Throughout Eorzea (including Coerthas & Gyr Abania) **
- Have a loved one that died in Thanalan: [Mimita offers funerary services to any in need for whatever they can afford. These services include: arranging for the funeral, performing death rites, and delivering a body of the deceased back to their family.]
- Are a bard who really reaches out to their fans: [Mimita loves bards, and while she's shy about approaching, she's often a captive member of the audience and will offer trinkets to bards as thanks where she can.]
** In Thanalan **
- Lived or worked with Thanalan tribes or the Ashcrown Consortium: [From ~1558 - 1567 6AE (~14-5 years pre-Calamity), and again starting from the beginning of the 7th Umbral Era.]
- Handled crystal shipments (to the Ul'dahn crafters' guilds, mining industry, etc): [She sold/delivered crystals from ~1558-1567 6AE (~14-5 years pre-Calamity), and again starting from the beginning of the 7th Umbral Era.]
- Needed organs for transplant at a reasonable price, and don't mind organizations of dubious legality/morality. [She's delivered them before on behalf of the [Sanguine Hearts], a dubious organization that sells them at a discount.]
- Work in the mining industry: [Mimita's father, Nanawoni Kokowoni, is an affable man - if religiously eccentric, nowadays. He works in the mining industry outside of the mines, and misses his daughter terribly. If you know him, you'll recognize Mimita as his daughter.]
- Lived in Eastern Thanalan around the time of the Calamity: [Mimita worked at the Church of St. Adama Landama as a thaumaturge helping to perform the rites of the dead when the lichyard overflowed with those lost to the Calamity. After her work was done, she would often go to the Drybone bar and drown her sorrows in alcohol (as did many of the mages, back then).]
- Buried a loved one lost to the Calamity at the church of St. Adama Landama: [Mimita worked at the Church of St. Adama Landama as a thaumaturge helping to perform the rites of the dead when the lichyard overflowed with those lost to the Calamity.]
- Work in the church of St. Adama Landama or are part of its congregation: [Since the Calamity, Mimita has attended the church with some regularity, and - while it seems she's often busy - she volunteers where she can.]
- Owe a debt to shady moneylenders. [She collects debts for an organization known as the [Blackstring Undertaking] who offer moneylending services even to those deemed "unreliable", that most banks would turn away.]
** In the Shroud **
- Handled crystal shipments (to the Ul'dahn crafters' guilds, mining industry, etc): [She sold/delivered crystals from ~1558-1567 6AE (~14-5 years pre-Calamity), and again starting with the beginning of the 7th Umbral Era.]
- Lived or live in the Sylphlands/Little Solace: [She was adopted by a Sylph and their partner, and they'd go to visit as one would with family. (Also, on crystal business with the Ashcrown Consortium!)]
- Lived or worked with tribes of the Shroud or the Ashcrown Consortium: [From ~1558 - 1567 6AE (~14-5 years pre-Calamity), and again starting from the beginning of the 7th Umbral Era.]

OOC Info

About Me
name: merry
pronouns: they/them
age: 21+
discord: merry#8581
timezone: CDT (UTC-5)
i'm shy and prefer small groups (both in-RP and outside it), so you probably won't see me post in discord servers very often. but i'm friendly, one-on-one or in small groups. feel free to reach out!
Writing Style
I'll engage with most whoever, but I personally tend toward script/short prose. I prefer to play character cards (and emotions) close to the chest rather than spell them out in detail.
I put my character dialogue "in quotations" even if it isn't strictly necessary to make the IC/OOC boundary clearer. I usually put on my RP tag! But sometimes I forget. If there's quotes, I'm in character. Please use third-person POV when RPing with me, I prefer the IC/OOC boundary to be very clear and first/second person feels like it blurs it to me.Writing Tone
it varies, as I enjoy a mix of light-hearted and serious RP, but I prefer to play my characters with sincerity. I try to stay similiar to canon's tone which can be silly, and it can be serious.
On Potentially Sensitive Content
- communication's important. if you ever need OOC clarification or feel uncomfortable, please reach out to me ((OOC)) and tell me.
- for mature/heavy/nsfw topics, i would prefer my RP partner to be 18+. in fact, if you are a minor, i am uncomfortable engaging in those topics with you and request that you disengage (please stay safe!)
- mimita has an association with death. in venues, i try to keep any talk of this relatively frank and vague, but if i'm in conversation with someone else, i might not even realize it. if you're uncomfortable, please tell me - i'll stop or usher that conversation to somewhere private.
- i'm generally open to dark topics/themes, but communication, context, and consent are important. ("consent" not just in a NSFW/ERP way, but if you're bringing up something heavy and unexpected, let me know, and let's move RP to a private channel, yeah?)
About GM'ed Plots
GMed plots are fun! I get both excited and silly-nervous about them.
- small groups preferred (~2-5 people, including GM)
- if you're a GM and need someone to play NPCs, i would be so down; i *love* to cosplay as just some guy.
- if you're interested in me as a player, i've got Secret Info for GMs you might find useful and a hidden page about abilities/character knowledge that could be shared with the group. and, importantly, some boundaries to cover before i get involved.
- if you're interested in running a plot together, i'm happy to take a stab at GMing - or we can try running it GMlessly!

General RP Preferences

(of which, there may be exceptions to the rule. but y'know.)
✬ = character specific
Interested in:
Exploring religion: expanding on canon, delving into the beliefs of the masses. I'm uninterested in clear-cut communication with the gods themselves - I like a little ambiguity, and the sort of small feeling of being one believer of many.
Exploring death: intimate scenes where the gravity of grief hits. Mimita is generally private about her own grief, but if you want your character to have a place to really talk and get it all out, Mimita's an attentive listener (and I love hearing about it).
Exploring the past: This might sound a bit odd, but I think it'd be fun to explore how the world of XIV used to be. I joined XIV post-SHB, but I'm fascinated with some temporal settings that have already passed. (With Mimita, I'm most interested in Drybone right before and following the Calamity, as the apocalypse came, and there are many fallen to be buried, and yet... we survived.)
Dark side of Thanalan: Ul'dah's an awful place to be - let's explore why. (Of course, this comes with a content warning, as Thanalan's canon includes: death, poverty, racism/xenophobia, corrupt law enforcement, forced labor [as punishment to a crime, payment of a debt, or even actual illegal slavery], child labor, death from poor working conditions/overwork, gambling, drugs and alcohol, and allusions to sex and sex work [though not described explicitly])
Dark themes/horror: if you pay attention to the lore, bits here and there, there's some horrifying details about Eorzea. It's not-so-fit for venue RP, but I'm interested going into dark themes in private. (But this is vague - if interested, we'd set OOC boundaries first, of course.)
- casual, but immersive RP (I have the most experience here)
- short-term RP
- long-term RP
- lighthearted or mature themes. preferably a mix! (drama hits harder when allowed to breathe, and it's less exhausting then, too, imo).
- lore abiding/bending characters (I care more about the spirit of the lore than the letter of the lore, you feel me?)
- low-powered characters (mid-powered is OK too)
- in-game RP
- discord RP (i have a preference for in-game RP, but i don't mind going to discord in cases where that makes more sense. on discord, i favor prose over script-style RP)
Not interested in:
- combat RP (usually. mimita's not opposed to hunting, and when it comes to spoken, while violence is not something to be taken lightly, she thinks it's sometimes necessary. however, i, her player, have little experience writing RP combat and would likely be a bit slow/clunky when doing so)
- character death/severe, permanent injury. some injuries are fine, but i'd want to discuss that more beforehand
- high powered characters
- Ascians, voidsent, or sin eater player characters
- lore-breaking characters

Name: Mimita MitaPronouns: primarily she/her, but they/them is also fineRace: Dunesfolk LalafellAge: Late 20s/Early 30s (*vague gestures* at xiv's time bubble. she was in her late teens/early 20s at the time of the Calamity)Orientation: Polyamorous & BisexualMiscellaneous information:
- She's mostly blind in her right eye. It looks like it could be an aetherial injury, but she claims it isn't.
- If you have aethersight: [Her blind eye absolutely did suffer an aetherial injury - it seems to have little to no aether (only as much as you'd expect from a rock or someone long dead). Despite that, her aetheric reserves seem relatively high, on par with a gifted thaumaturge. Additionally, her hair is glamoured - naturally, it's red.]
Battle jobs: thaumaturge (versed in both the current iteration and "old thaumaturgy", which is a personal lore-bendy blood mage concept based on 1.0 THM and Nald'thal being a deity of balance)DoH/DoL jobs: botanist, culinarianOccupation(s): performer of funereal rites, grief counselor, trader of the Ashcrown Consortium

The Blackstring Undertaking

Public Knowledge
Anyone under the poverty line in Thanalan knows finding someone to accept a loan can be difficult - too many missed payments, and they won't let you borrow even a single gil more!
Blackstring isn't like the others. They'll let you borrow, and borrow, and borrow... though their reputation certainly leave something to be desired. Some say there's a risk you'll end up dead. Then again, this is Thanalan - that's not too uncommon to hear.Obscured Knowledge
While not advertised, it's easy to cross-reference the paperwork and find affiliate companies and subsidiaries of the Blackstring Undertaking. These include:
- The Sanguine Hearts, a subsidiary and medical organization of dubious legality which sells organs at a discount rate.
- The Laughing Alchemists, a unscrupulous group of Ul'dahn alchemists. (A canon organization; they're the villainous group in ARR allied tribal quests.)
- The Gilded Swords, a subsidiary. They're a group of private armed guards. There isn't much information about them, save for a high price tag. If you're a rich Ul'dahn with few scruples, you'd know why: [they're known to be efficient and reliable assassins.]
If you owe a debt...
You'd be expected to pay it back by any means necessary.
- Gil
- Work
- Blood
- Etc
It's all valuable. Blackstring will take whatever you owe, and they may send Mimita (who they know as "Darling") to collect it.

DM Info

Hidden info! Which other players would have to find out through RP, but DMs might be able to use!Previous Hidden Occupation(s): Assassin (briefly in 1567 6AE [5 years pre-Calamity], for a now-defunct group)
Alias: "Darling", which is how Blackstring (see connections), its subsidiaries, its affiliates, and its debtors know her.
Abilities & InventoryTimelineMiscellaneous information:
- She's mostly blind in her right eye. It is definitely an aetherial injury, and she received it in 1557 6AE. Morrighan, the voidsent that led the cult known as The Pack, tried to drain her of all her aether. Mimita survived, but the aether in her eye has not recovered since then.
- Resilient to certain poisons due to the Dunesfolk practice of feeding their children miniscule portions of diluted snake and scorpion venom.
- Her natural hair color is red; the black it appears as now is a glamour. (When working for Blackstring, she dispells the glamour and shows her natura hair. When with anyone else, she puts on the glamour.)
- She is a thaumaturge, but IS NOT with the Order of Nald'thal, and never has been. She worked with them for a time because the Church of Saint Adama Landama needed every hand it could have, but the Order would deny her (for her illiteracy) and she would deny the Order (feeling they hurt the poor).

Motivations & Flaws

Stuff what could get her invested in something. "Flaws" in the sense of it could be taken advantage of, not necessarily that it's inherently bad.Concerned: Mimita is always worried either ABOUT or FOR something or someone. If someone looks like they're in need, she'll want to help them (though she likely won't if she thinks it'd put herself in mortal danger). If someone looks like they're a threat, she'll want to cautiously keep an eye on them.Timid, Overly Cautious: She worries for and about everything, but she usually relents quickly if asked. She tries not to gossip or get involved in other people's business (unless it's positive or she's extremely worried).Protective: Once she likes someone, she'll do near anything she can to protect them. If someone she cared for came under threat, she'd do something about it. People she's protective of include:
- Ki, aka Pakeke
- Ruddle, aka Ruckus
- Kokoyera Teteyera (her adoptive father)
- Loxia (her guardian)
See "Connections" for more info on these characters.
Indebted: She bargained her blood for her life and now works for the organization that would have killed her*. If an order comes down from on high, she'll do it.Last Wishes: Mimita walks close with death often - publicly, due to her work as a thaumaturge, and secretively, with her work cleaning up for the Blackstring Undertaking* and their subsidiaries. If she found the dying wishes of anyone she came into contact with, she'd do her best to fulfill them as long as she considered them reasonable. (She wouldn't harm anyone to "get back at them", and she wouldn't kill anyone unless they were an active threat that couldn't be handled otherwise.)Limited Literacy: Her parents were never able to teach her basic literacy. She's been taught a bit by Ki and can read simple notes, but it's extremely difficult for her, and she's used to relying on others helping her with this. She's unwilling to read messages out loud to others. She has a form of undiagnosed dyslexia as well and may read similar words incorrectly because of that.* The Blackstring Undertaking, which will be mentioned more in Connections.

Connections

This isn't an exhaustive list, but these are some of the most important connections Mimita has.!!! Content Warning !!! - The following describes a villainous Ul'dahn organization known for organ-legging and some details of how they operate with regard to that. The tone of them is most adjacent to horror. If you don't want to read it, you don't need to! Scroll past; I'll put another marker where the content warning ends.
---------------------------------------------
The Blackstring Undertaking & its subsidiaries: NPC organization. The Blackstring Undertaking is a group of shady Ul'dahn moneylenders who prey on the poor who have been turned away by most banks. They collect their dues from their debtors in any form - if not gil, they'll resort to taking blood and organs to sell under their subsidiary, "The Sanguine Hearts". If someone tries to interfere in Blackstring's business - or if the debt they owe is that great - the Sanguine Hearts will kill them.
Additionally, Blackstring has an enforcement group known as "The Gilded Swords". This group provides bodyguard and assassinating services to wealthy patrons who can afford them. The Gilded Swords were sent to kill Mimita, but she made a bargain - she'd trade her death for her life, and work in service to Blackstring instead. While she was originally given the duties of an assassin, these days, her work is primarily in debt collection (tracking debtors and getting gil or blood from them as payment) and cleanup (disposing of dead bodies, cleaning sites of organ extraction, etc). She's also worked as an assistant to those extracting organs and will magically put people to sleep if they're slated to be killed. While Mimita finds the work Blackstring does to be distasteful, she thinks she can make more difference inside the organization than outside of it. If she were to leave, Blackstring would still exist - wouldn't it be better to stay and ensure that those who must die feel no pain? Wouldn't it be better to stay and collect debts herself, if she can convince someone of the severity of missing their dues, she could prevent the worst... right?
---------------------------------------------
!!! End of Content Warning !!!
---------------------------------------------
Ki (aka Pakeke; she/her): ALT CHARACTER. Ki is Mimita's older sister. She's generally protective of Mimita... and as nosy and annoying as older sisters tend to be. If Mimita's hiding something, Ki can usually tell, and she's adamant about figuring it out. Mimita's just as protective of Ki, though, and she thinks what Ki doesn't know won't hurt her. The two love each other dearly, but at the moment, they're on complicated terms - Ki found out Mimita's working for Blackstring and wants to help her out and/or work to destroy the group entirely, but Mimita insists 1) it's fine and 2) it's none of Ki's business.
Ruddle Fuddle (aka Ruckus Fiddlesticks; he/him): PLAYER CHARACTER. Mimita met Ruddle around the time of the Calamity, when he was a newly-orphaned teen causing all manner of havoc in Drybone. She found some of his antics amusing - levity was desperately needed back then, with so many dead pouring into the lichyard. Her love toward him is generally expressed in a motherly sort of way - she's protective and coddling, and tries to hide her own problems from him so he won't have to worry. He's protective of her, too.Loxia (aka 'Some Midlander'; she/they/he shifting): ALT CHARACTER. Sylph from the Thanalan division of the Ashcrown Consortium and Mimita's guardian.* These days, she tends to disguise herself as a Midlander. She's mischievous and likes to be nonsensical just to see how people react. They often use Sylphic magic to appear as not a Sylph most of the time, and they're able to hide their Sylphic accent. ("I think this" vs "This one thinks this".) She usually refers to Mimita as "kind-hearted one" or "odd-eyed one" with those who don't know her well. Mimita thinks of Loxia as her parent. They love each other dearly and tend to exchange stories they made or heard from bards.* Note: Not parent, but guardian; Sylphs don't have parents and Loxia never fully grasped the concept of parenthood. She acts like a mix between a parent, an aunt/uncle, your parent's friend, and an older sibling.)'Da' (Kokoyera Teteyera; he/they): ALT CHARACTER. Mimita's adoptive father, a serious and caring Lalafell from the Thanalan division of the Ashcrown Consortium. He and Loxia are romantic partners. Like Loxia, he and Mimita often exchange stories. Kokoyera is less prying than Ki and Loxia, and always lets Mimita tell him what she wants on her own terms (and tells Loxia and Ki to leave her alone when they get too nosy). He and Mimita love each other dearly, though he asked for space when she told him about her involvement in Blackstring. ((More than anything, Yera's a hippie dad.))'Pa' (Nanawoni Kokowoni; he/him): NPC. Mimita's birth father. When Mimita was a child, he was an optimistic, cheery man who worked long hours at the Nanawa Mines to provide for his family. It took a toll on his health, and he wasn't able to work anymore. He ended up turning to The Pack, a cult lead by a voidsent. When Mimita's mother tried to leave the cult with Mimita, he killed her. (Mimita saw.) He searched for Mimita for a while after she ran away. His active search stopped, but he still loves her dearly and is still involved in the cult. He'd want to reunite them. His mind is... extremely sympathetic to The Pack, but whether that's simply cult nature or if he's actually Void-touched is debatable.Morrighan (she/her): NPC. A moderately powerful voidsent, known for shapeshifting (particularly into a corvid and wolf form). The leader of The Pack. She feeds on the aether of those who join the cult. She started to drain Mimita of her aether until Mimita passed out, and that's why Mimita's golden eye is like that - the aether there never healed after being expended. (The only reason this process was interrupted was due to Mimita's mother intervening. Morrighan knew she couldn't confront Mimita's mother herself without alarming Nanawoni, who was The Pack's best recruiter.)The Pack: NPC organization. A cult led by the voidsent, Morrighan. They appeal to the poor and downtrodden in Thanalan, offering free food and aid while preaching their gospel. Once in the cult, the voidsent drains the new recruits of their aether. This has caused plenty of deaths, but the people they prey on are written off by society, so it's not been properly looked into.

Abilities

COMBAT: "Old Thaumaturgy" (Blood Magic)

This is inspired by 1.0's (now-retconned, alas) thaumaturgy which had a few spells which cost HP to cast and was purely astral and umbral. The main principle of old thaumaturgy is trade - everything has an equivalent price. (Examples: your standard blood-for-magical-power, hurting an enemy to heal yourself, transferring enfeeblements from one target to another, etc.) Mimita usually takes her own blood with an athame.Lore-wise, I imagine "old thaumaturgy" to be cult thaumaturgy. It isn't well-known, there are little-to-no written records of it, and those who have heard about it may have dismissed it as scary stories to spook children.OOC discretion advised, of course. While I'm fond of this concept, it is lore-bendy and could be triggering depending on the group (since "blood magic" often involves hurting oneself). I'd want to get the a-okay from any group I use this in.

COMBAT: (Modern) Thaumaturgy

In addition to the "old ways", Mimita knows modern thaumaturgy, too.
- Fire
- Ice
- Lightning (though naturally-occurring storms still scare her)
- Sleep
Etc. She is a thaumaturge, though - not a black mage. Her main reason for learning this type of thaumaturgy was to help with the death rites at the Church of St. Adama Landama. In combat, she tends toward the "old ways" as they're more familiar to her.

COMBAT & NON-COMBAT: Healing (Magical and Non-magical)

Skilled in healing in the way a field medic might be - able to stop bleeding, stabilize patients, etc. She tends to heal using "old thaumaturgy", exchanging her own blood in return for magical power, but she knows non-magical healing as well. She's not a doctor, and would be ill-equipped to treat chronic conditions or provide long-term care. Her main focus is simply to keep people alive.

NON-COMBAT: Disguise / Glamour

As someone adopted by a Sylph, she learned a few things about how to play tricksy pranks. Mimita knows how to glamour herself to appear as other people (as in cut ARR quests where Sylphs pretend to be Scions) or to render herself invisible (as in tribe quests where Sylphic magic makes the WoL invisible). She knows how to dispell a glamour, too - all you need is a truesight scalebomb.

NON-COMBAT: Languages

Unless otherwise listed, all languages are spoken only.- Eorzean Common (native, LIMITED LITERACY)
- Amaljic (limited professional)
- Ala Mhigan (conversational)
- Sign/handspeak (limited-conversational)
- Thieves' Cant (I assume there's something like this. Spoken AND if there's a language of symbols, she'd know that too. Pictographs are easier for her to parse.)
- High Sylphic (limited)
- Ishgardian (limited; picked up via her criminal work)

NON-COMBAT: Determining Cause of Death

While not as skilled as a professional coroner, Mimita has overseen many corpses, and is generally able to determine basic causes of death. (Limited in that she will be able to determine the general cause - "seems like they were poisoned" but if it's an uncommon cause of death, she wouldn't be able to determine the specific type of poison, if that makes sense.)

NON-COMBAT: Common Poisons

Able to identify common to uncommon (but not rare) poisons.

NON-COMBAT: Cover Up / Obfuscation

Able to remove incriminating evidence, obfuscate a scene’s true nature.

NON-COMBAT: Death Rites & Religious Knowledge

Mimita is able to perform the rites of the dead for multiple cultures (if the family is willing to have a servant of Nald'thal perform them). While generally unfamiliar with religions beyond Thanalan, she would know cultural beliefs pertaining to death and death rites.

NON-COMBAT: Song

Mimita knows how to play the lute, the harp, and sing... although, she may get stage fright if a performance is particularly important or in front of an audience.
